Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our in‑person tax office. You will work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with guidance from experienced teammates. Earn an hourly wage and have opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge.

No prior tax experience is required; you will receive training and support from day one, and you’ll work at a local H&R Block tax office during peak tax season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service setting.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfort using AI tools for tax work.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant product offerings.
• Address client questions using available resources and teamwork.
• Support office priorities through collaboration and client‑first approach.
