Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person role at a local tax office. You will meet with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and address questions while building client relationships. Training and support from day one help you learn tax knowledge and grow in the role.

Compensation is hourly with opportunities to increase earnings during tax season. No prior tax experience is required, and candidates will gain hands-on experience while assisting clients

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or client facing roles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem solving and ability to organize information to find solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
