Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate for in-person service at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and assist in preparing tax returns with supportive training from day one. No prior tax experience required, with opportunities to grow earnings as tax knowledge increases.

You’ll work 15–40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends during peak tax season, in a collaborative, client-first environment that emphasizes learning and client service.

Qualifications

• Completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly
• Problem-solving abilities and ability to organize information
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based systems like Copilot and ChatGPT

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
