Job summary

H&R Block in Mississippi is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with training and support from day one.

This in-person role offers an hourly rate with opportunities to grow as you build tax knowledge and client relationships. Evening and weekend availability during tax season is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
