You’ll learn tax basics on day one, work in-person at a local tax office, and build client relationships while earning a competitive hourly rate. No prior tax experience is required and growth opportunities exist during peak season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with ability to organize information and find solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
