Job summary

H&R Block in Mississippi is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to help gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with supportive training. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate and have opportunities to grow your tax knowledge while building client relationships.

This in-person role requires strong communication and a client-first mindset. Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course and prior customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and ability to explain tax information clearly.
• Problem-solving and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
