Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates, and answer questions while building valuable client relationships in person.

No prior tax experience required; you’ll receive training, earn a competitive hourly rate, and have opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
