Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• At least 2 years of experience in tax prep, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Excellent verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients, including individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
