H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Advisor to join our local tax office. You will prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews to assess financial situations, and offer personalized recommendations.

You will help clients uncover savings opportunities and promote H&R Block products. This in-person role emphasizes empathy, consultative service, and building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations including individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment.
