A Kingston-based public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Return Assembler for the upcoming tax season (mainly January 15th – April 15th).

** Responsibilities**

• ** Quality & Accuracy Verification: Compare key information and figures on tax documents against completed tax returns to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• ** Return Packaging: Assemble final tax return packages (both physical folders and secure electronic files) to be forwarded to clients and filing authorities.
• ** Workflow & Status Tracking: Log and track tax returns through internal tracking systems from assembly through final signature and delivery.
• ** Signature & Compliance Checks: Ensure all required e-file authorization forms (e.g., Form 8879) and client signature pages are included and complete prior to filing.
• ** Team Collaboration: Coordinate with CPAs and professional staff to verify missing items or resolve formatting and assembly discrepancies.
• ** Client & Delivery Coordination: Assist with mailing, express shipping, or scheduling pickup/delivery of completed tax packages to clients.
