Job summary

Antigua Apparel is seeking an Operator I to support garment production, quality checks, and packaging for shipping. You may work in heat seal, embroidery, DTF, or other areas as needed.

The role includes inspecting items for defects, sorting into correct grid locations, and ensuring accurate labeling and shipping per customer orders. A high school diploma and strong attention to detail are required for fast-paced production.

Responsibilities

• Operates shipping stations using shipping software.
• Inspects embroidered items for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Checks for defects such as misalignment, skipped stitches, thread breaks, color errors or puckering.
• Inspects heat-sealed patches for adhesion, placement and alignment.
• Checks seal integrity and detects bubbles, wrinkles or incomplete adhesion.
• Tags and labels garments, packages, and ships orders per customer orders.
• Sorts incoming/outgoing products into grid locations based on recipes or pick lists.
• Uses handheld scanners or RF devices to verify placement and quantities.
• Ensures each grid location contains correct items and order information.
• Assists printing/trimming DTF/DTT logos as needed.
• Returns and organizes thread spools by color/type/size as required.
• Inspects threads for knots, frays, or inconsistencies.
• Notifies HR, Safety, and Quality teams of concerns per policies.

Operator I: May be responsible for verifying the quality and packaging of licensed and unlicensed garments for shipping.

Capable of safely and properly operating multiple pieces of specialized equipment in a controlled environment

Essential Functions

May be assigned to heat seal, embroidery, DTF, or other areas as business needs require. These are a few of the tasks an Operator I may be required to perform. This list is not all inclusive and responsibilities may change as the needs of the business dictate

• Operates shipping stations using shipping software
• Inspect embroidered items for accuracy, consistency, and quality according to specifications
• Check for defects such as misalignment, skipped stitches, thread breaks, color errors, puckering, or incorrect placement
• Inspect heat-sealed patches on products to ensure proper adhesion, placement and alignment according to specifications
• Check for seal integrity, bubbles, wrinkles, misalignment, incomplete adhesion, or other defects
• Properly tags and labels the garment, packages, and ships the order per customer order
• Sort incoming and outgoing products accurately into designated grid locations based on recipes or tape numbers, pick lists, order numbers, or system instructions
• Scan or verify items using handheld scanners, RF devices, or WMS systems to confirm correct placement
• Ensure each grid location contains the correct items, quantities, and order information
• May assist in printing and trimming DTF/DTT logos
• Returns and organizes thread spools by color, type, size, or material according to production or inventory specifications
• Inspect threads for quality issues such as knots, frays, or inconsistencies
• Notifies VSM/VSS of any concerns regarding all HR, Safety, and Security work policies, specific work instructions, and quality system requirements.
• Behave, speak, and treat others in a respectful manner while supporting workflow.
• Participate in kaizen or improvement project teams
