Requirements:

• This position requires physical fitness and mental alertness, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, handling, thinking, reasoning, and calculating, some of which is constant.
• A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and to be consistently demonstrated in all interactions with members and team members.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with children.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification for adults, infants, and children, or ability to obtain it.
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work full-time days Monday-Friday and commitment to the entire summer season.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• State-specific licensing requirements, as applicable.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of campers through their one-week camp experiences.
• Developing friendships among youth to ensure each child feels connected to the camp community.
• Completing daily opening and closing procedures and safety logs.
• Communicating daily with camp parents, team members, club members, and the Camp Site Director.
• Understanding and communicating the specific needs of campers, including safety or behavioral concerns.
• Maintaining cleanliness and good repair of all areas used by the camp, ensuring they are on brand.
• Finding coverage for sick days and communicating planned vacation days before the season starts.
