Job summary

Lafourche Sugars, LLC in Thibodaux, Louisiana is seeking a Sugar Boiler C for 22 temporary full-time positions from 08/01/2026 to 01/31/2027. You will operate steam-heated vacuum pans, batch cookers, and crystallization equipment to produce raw sugar during the harvest.

Setting temperature and pressure gauges, preparing equipment before grinding and handling 56-hour harvest weeks with overtime will be required. On-site lodging is available for some workers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months experience in a raw sugar mill.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam-heated vacuum pans, batch cookers and crystallization equipment to produce raw sugar.
• Set temperature and pressure gauges on cooking machines.
• Prepare equipment prior to harvest and adjust for grinding day one.
• Work during harvest with varying 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am shifts.
