Job summary

Blue Seal Farm & Home, Augusta, ME, is seeking a Seasonal Store & Warehouse Associate to support our team during the busy season. This full-time, temporary opportunity requires weekend availability and will perform duties across customer service, cashiering, stocking, loading, and warehouse tasks.

The position is designed for in-store and warehouse work at our Augusta location, with a focus on helping customers, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be able to lift 55 lbs.
• Solid work history.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Able to work independently as well as with others.
• Animal, retail, agriculture experience preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product needs and questions.
• Cash out customers with register system, stock store, and load purchases.
• Receive product orders, merchandising, and create vendor orders.
• Load and unload bagged feeds and related products for customers in the warehouse.
• Operate hand truck and forklift safely as required.
• Receive, load, and rotate product.
• Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and loading areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

This is a full-time, temporary opportunity that will require weekend availability.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product needs and answering questions
• Cashing out customers with register system, stocking store, and loading store customers
• Receive product orders, merchandising, and create vendor orders directly for the store
• Loading and unloading bagged feeds and related products for customers in the warehouse
• May also be require operation of a hand truck and a fork truck in a safe manner and follow all safety rules
• Receive, accurately load, and rotate product
• Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and loading areas
• Other duties as assigned by Store Management

Experience & Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must be able to lift 55 lbs. to a height of 50 inches
• Solid work history
• Outstanding customer service skills is a must
• Able to work independently as well as with others and supervision
• Animal, retail, agriculture experience preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
