Job summary

Blue Seal Farm & Home in Augusta, ME is hiring a Seasonal Store & Warehouse Associate for the busy season. This is a full-time, temporary role requiring weekend availability and offering a generous employee discount as part of the opportunity.

You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and help load products in the warehouse, including feeds, while maintaining safety and teamwork on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Able to work independently as well as with others.
• Animal, retail, agriculture experience preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product needs and questions.
• Cash out customers with register system, stock store, and load store customers.
• Receive product orders, merchandising, and create vendor orders directly for the store.
• Loading and unloading bagged feeds and related products for customers in the warehouse.
• May require operation of a hand truck and a forklift in a safe manner.
• Receive, accurately load, and rotate product.
• Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and loading areas.
• Other duties as assigned by Store Management.

This is a full-time, temporary opportunity that will require weekend availability. We also offer a generous employee discount as part of this opportunity.

• This position is designed and intended to be performed in Augusta, ME.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist customers with product needs and answering questions
• Cashing out customers with register system, stocking store, and loading store customers
• Receive product orders, merchandising, and create vendor orders directly for the store
• Loading and unloading bagged feeds and related products for customers in the warehouse
• May also be require operation of a hand truck and a fork truck in a safe manner and follow all safety rules
• Receive, accurately load, and rotate product
• Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and loading areas
• Other duties as assigned by Store Management

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified candidates must be able to lift 55 lbs. to a height of 50 inches
• Outstanding customer service skills is a must
• Able to work independently as well as with others and supervision
• Animal, retail, agriculture experience preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
