Job summary

JCPenney is seeking a Seasonal Operations Associate to help create an outstanding customer experience through in-store operations. This early-morning role works with the task team to complete duties before opening and may extend based on performance and store needs.

As a seasonal hire, you will be part of the operations team, handling stock, pricing, sign changes, online order fulfillment, and backroom organization while maintaining merchandising standards to support sales and customer service

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and able to assist shoppers quickly in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to adjust ticket prices and signage accurately to reflect promotions.
• Replenish and restock merchandise to ensure size/style availability for customers.
• Assist with unloading trucks and preparing backroom stock for sale.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized stockroom and back areas.
• Fulfill online orders picked from jcp.com when required.
• Implement merchandising plans to optimize product placement and shopper experience.
• Demonstrate a learning mindset by absorbing training materials and updates.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service - assist customers and answer questions promptly.
• Executes pricing and signing across the store with speed and accuracy.
• Replenish and restock merchandise to keep shelves full.
• Receive and unload merchandise from trucks and prep in backroom.
• Maintain backroom standards for safety and cleanliness.
• Handle online order pickup as needed.
• Carry out merchandising strategy to implement leadership plans.
• Participate in learning and training opportunities.
