Job summary

Cavender's is seeking a Seasonal Stocker to support store operations by stocking merchandise on the floor and in the backroom, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean, organized sales area. You will inspect items for proper tagging and labeling, assist with transfers and returns, and help with merchandising projects to uphold store standards.

Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately stock and organize merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely use store equipment and follow age requirements where applicable.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to comprehend instructions, interpret documents, and apply them daily.

Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise to the sales floor and backroom following standards.
• Inspect merchandise for quality, tagging, and label placement before stocking.
• Organize back stock and merchandise to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Assist with processing merchandise, transfers, and returns as directed.
• Keep the sales floor and backroom clean and safe, including housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with merchandising projects, floor moves, and display maintenance.
• Report safety, inventory, or merchandise concerns promptly to management.
• Maintain on-time work attendance and neat, professional appearance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Help customers locate merchandise or direct to the appropriate associate.
