Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a Seasonal Steward to help maintain clean dishes and a smooth kitchen workflow. The role requires physical ability and a service-minded attitude; duties include washing dishes, resetting the kitchen for shifts, assisting cooks and servers, and following health and sanitation guidelines.

You will be part of a guest-focused team, maintaining supplies, keeping areas clean, and upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Guest service experience preferred.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all Steward team members.
• Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Responsabilités

• The Steward is responsible for ensuring the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware.
• They will also help reset the kitchen for the next shifts by ensuring that kitchen and equipment is clean and ready to use.
• Always presents a friendly and professional image at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
• Provides impeccable guest service to all guests. Clean up spilled food, drink and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash.
• Clean food, dishes, trays, and silverware from kitchens and supply departments.
• Follow all health and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist cooks and servers as needed.
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, trays and wash them by hand or in a dishwashing machine.
• Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
• Sweeps and mops floor in area as needed.
• Refill soap and paper towels as needed. Wash stainless steel walls, doors and kitchen equipment.
• Separates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated areas.
• Cleans out garbage cans as needed.
• Stocks cleaning supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Sets up banquet kitchen for events and assist with tables and buffets.
• Cleans and puts away all products after events.
• Maintains all equipment.
• May be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs.
• Follows established procedures and policies of Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
