Job summary

Hilltop Ski Area seeks a Seasonal Snowsports School Supervisor to oversee daily operations, plan and improve lesson programs, and supervise a large team of instructors on Anchorage’s hills. You will coordinate scheduling, promote exceptional guest service, and help lead staff training and development in a dynamic winter environment.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and guest satisfaction throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical education, Recreation, Education, or Management (preferred).
• PSIA/AASI Level II or higher certification (preferred).
• 3+ years of ski/ride instruction or education experience.
• Strong ski/ride teaching, technical, and communication skills.
• Experience creating and leading training programs for diverse age groups and skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise lesson programs, workshops, and events with focus on guest experience.
• Oversee daily operations, booking/scheduling, and staff coordination for 50–80 instructors.
• Teach group and private ski/snowboard lessons when needed and ensure safe instruction.
• Lead instructor training sessions and contribute to staff development and retention.
