Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for winter seasonal roles including snowmaking, drivers, cooks and more. The team offers high compensation, free passes, ski/snowboard lessons, and extensive training.

Seasonal positions are open on a rolling basis with applications accepted until December 15th or until filled. The Snowmaking role focuses on equipment operation, day-to-day leadership, and ensuring quality checks of snow production in alpine environments.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license or equivalent required.
• Experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred.
• Fluent English communication required.
• Able to work outdoors in alpine environments.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures.
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks.
• Lead with day-to-day operations.
• Mentor and guide snowmaker teammates.
• Understand and operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, manual and automated snowmaking guns.
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed.
• Complete assigned tasks while unsupervised.
• Other duties as assigned.
