Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a Snowcat Operator Candidate for a seasonal position at $20 per hour. The role requires learning to operate Prinoth and PistenBully grooming equipment, with shifts including evenings and nights. Must meet insurance requirements for driving and be able to work in all weather conditions.

The position is full-time for the season, with evaluation for future seasons. Relevant experience with heavy equipment and radio use supports candidacy for this hands-on,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Previous experience with heavy equipment operation.
• Previous experience driving snow grooming equipment.
• Use of a 2-way radio is frequently required.

Responsibilities

• Train to operate a Prinoth and PistenBully snow groomer without supervision.
• Learn different controls and basic grooming patterns.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance on snow groomers.
• Possess knowledge of winter grooming techniques.
• Be familiar with Sundance slopes to ensure quality grooming.
