Job summary

Department of Transportation is seeking Winter Reserve Snow Plow Operators for Miller, SD and Highmore, SD. These seasonal, non-benefited positions involve snow and ice removal on State highways during inclement weather and may include general maintenance tasks.

Two positions are available with hours varying by winter conditions. Applicants must be 18+, able to operate heavy equipment, hold a valid CDL (N endorsement preferred) and pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a CDL with N: Tank Vehicles endorsement.

Responsibilities

Snow and ice removal on State highways during inclement weather.
May include general maintenance tasks; training will be provided.
