Job summary

The Idaho Transportation Department is recruiting for a Transportation Technician to work up to 5 months in Declo, Idaho. This temporary position will provide additional support to keep our highways safe and clear this winter season.

A Class B (or greater) CDL is required, and training will be provided to operate the snow removal equipment. Hourly rates are 21.05 to 25.83 USD per hour depending on snowplow experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications may include a valid driver's license.
• Experience operating vehicles with manual transmissions.
• CDL is required (Class A or B).

Responsibilities

• Operate snow removal equipment in various weather and traffic conditions.
• Work irregular shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as clearing brush and lifting heavy objects.
