Job summary

Levy Sector, part of Compass Group USA, is hiring a Cook for Snow Valley Ski Resort in California. This seasonal position requires weekend and holiday availability and starts at $21 per hour. You will prepare and cook a variety of meals in a fast-paced grab-and-go kitchen, ensuring quality and cleanliness.

The role demands teamwork, adherence to HACCP standards, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds. Benefits include Instapay and other employee programs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant environment.
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures per company and county guidelines.
• Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greets, directs and responds to guest questions in a timely manner.
• Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions.
• Serves meals with proper portioning and temperature.
• Maintains HACCP standards and proper presentation.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Reports maintenance issues to supervisor promptly.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Adheres to company policies including safety guidelines.
