Job summary

Spirit Mountain is seeking a Ski Instructor for the winter season. This seasonal, part-time role focuses on teaching groups and individuals, promoting safe skiing, and helping guests enjoy the mountain experience.

The ideal candidate skis at an advanced level, communicates well, and can work weekends, evenings, and holidays. PSIA certification is preferred, and training will be provided to ensure consistent, quality instruction.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Patience and passion for teaching and the outdoors.
• Ability to ski at an advanced level and teach others.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Instruct groups and individuals in a fun lesson format.
• Teach skiing techniques appropriate to ability level.
• Promote safety and provide knowledge to stay safe after lessons.
• Participate in clinics and free-skiing to improve personal skills.
• Attend PSIA clinics and take appropriate exams.
• Participate in pre-season clinics.
• Greet guests and direct them to lesson locations.
• Complete instructor training.
