Greg's Services is seeking dependable helpers for winter on-call work in Cedar Rapids. Crews (2–4 people) operate snow blowers, salters, and shovels, with lifting requirements up to 50+ pounds. No driver's license is required, but reliable transportation to the shop or work site is expected. Training runs from late September to November.
Safety is the top priority and equal opportunity employment is practiced. Overnight shifts are common as most work occurs after-hours when buildings are vacant.
Candidates must be hardworking, dependable, honest and committed. This position is on-call based as you will be working dependent on the weather. Crews are usually made up of 2-4 people (refer your friends!) You will be using various pieces of equipment such as snow blowers, salters, and different types of shovels (lifting of 50+ pounds may be necessary). Attention to detail is key as safety is our top priority. A valid driver’s license is NOT needed, however, reliable transportation will be required to either get you to your designated shop or work site (keep in mind that buses do not run 24/7, and the majority of our work is done overnight while customer buildings are vacant). We do NOT provide any type of uniforms besides a safety vest. You are in charge of supplying your own boots, jackets, gloves, etc. Training starts end of September and runs through November.
