Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking seasonal Servers to join Detroit Hockeytown Restaurant in Detroit, Michigan. You will be the face of the restaurant, greeting guests, taking orders, and delivering a high level of service in a fast-paced setting.

This tipped position offers a base hourly pay of $6.50, not including tips. Duties include handling orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, welcoming dining area. Seasonal schedule includes evenings, days, weekends, and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing is required.
• At least one year of experience as a server in a high-volume environment is preferred.
• Previous experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment preferred.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, explain specials, take orders, and attend to guests throughout their visit.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system so kitchen and bar staff can prepare items as needed.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, and follow service policies.
• Prepare and deliver the check and process payments at the table.
• Collaborate with other servers, kitchen, and bar staff.
• Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties as assigned.
• Ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and working properly.
