Job summary

PanCare of Florida is seeking a Health Technician for the Mowat Middle School in Panama City, FL. This seasonal, part-time role supports the school health team by administering medications, providing first aid, and assisting with health screenings under licensed supervision.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and the ability to complete a Level 2 fingerprint background check. Prior school or pediatric healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic medical procedures and first aid.
• Experience with health documentation and health information management.
• Current BLS Certification must be maintained.
• Must pass Level 2 fingerprint background check (state and federal).

Responsibilities

• Follow school health policies to protect student safety.
• Administer medications and maintain proper documentation.
• Notify nurse, parent/guardian, and principal of acutely ill or injured students.
• Assist with managing communicable diseases and conditions.
• Complete head lice interventions and screenings for readmission.
• Perform CPR/AED as needed.
• Document services in clinic records per policy.
• Assist in health screenings (hearing, vision, scoliosis, BMI) and referrals.
• Support specialized procedures delegated by a nurse.
• Manage inventory of first aid and health supplies; report needs.
