Job summary

Five Below, Inc. is looking for a customer-facing team member to greet and assist shoppers, understand their needs, and guide them to merchandise. You will engage customers, promote events, and use product knowledge to provide recommendations and resolve concerns, aiming to exchange items when appropriate.

The role requires using cash registers and handheld devices, learning store procedures, and maintaining a positive, energetic environment across shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as computers, cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices).
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly: acknowledge customers and provide assistance with multiple customers.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns by offering alternatives and aiming for exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management about merchandise restocking and customer feedback.
