Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Post-Surgical Unit for a seasonal assignment.

The RN will plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care in the PSU, ensuring high quality, safe patient care and compliance with The Joint Commission and state/federal standards.

The role responds to patients in need and provides Medical Screening Exams as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• 1-2 years' experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit preferred.
• RN, current in the State of Texas.
• BLS required, ACLS preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for post-surgical patients.
• Ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintaining compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
