Job summary

Logan Health Children’s in Kalispell, MT seeks a Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) with PICU experience to join its pediatric team. This full-time, 12-hour night shift role requires a minimum 13 weeks and offers a 15% seasonal premium plus night/weekend differentials.

Seasonal bonuses apply after 30 and 60 days, with a $2,000 completion bonus and a 401(k) plan, though health benefits are not provided. Requirements include Montana RN license (or compact), at least 2 years in PICU or pediatric

Qualifications

• Seasonal RN must have 2 years applicable nursing experience to the unit assigned.
• Current Montana RN license or compact license required.
• Minimum 2 years of PICU or similar pediatric critical care experience preferred.
• RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever occurs first.
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• APHON must be obtained within 1 year of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-acuity, family-centered care in our dedicated PICU.
• Provide additional support to the broader Pediatric team as needed.
• Partner with providers and care teams to ensure safe, effective treatment.
• Use critical thinking, clinical judgment, and clear communication to advocate for young patients.
• Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence.

Seasonal Position Details:

Shift:

Night Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule:

Full-time hours/schedule, 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts. Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
