Job summary

Seasonal Registered Nurse position at Baylor Scott & White Health – Lake Pointe in Rowlett. You will join a PACU/ICU-ready team, covering days with call requirements and 12-hour shifts.

The role serves both pediatric and adult patients, with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios and an emphasis on safe, high‑quality care. Qualifications

• 2 years of PACU experience or ICU/ED experience (critical care) required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
