Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical/Ortho units in Cedar Park, TX. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, following established nursing models.

You will participate in open discussions with leadership and contribute to patient outcomes while supported by the hospital's resources. The assignment runs through March 31, 2027, with a minimum commitment of 72 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered RN care in line with department standards.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN education and current license as required (Associate/Bachelor/Master or RN Diploma).
• Seasonal assignment ends March 31, 2027; minimum 72 hours per pay period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status at admission and each shift, noting changes.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up; translate complex terms as needed.
