Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Tucson is seeking a Registered Nurse for a seasonal, 13- or 26-week contract on a full-time day shift. This role may float to all four Northwest Healthcare hospitals to cover patient care needs.

The RN provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, administers medications, coordinates with physicians and the care team, and participates in life-saving interventions as required. Active RN licensure and 1 year of RN experience are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RN experience.
• Knowledge of nursing process and clinical nursing practices.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions.
• Documents patient care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
