UNC Health is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse to join the Nursing Flex Pool across multiple inpatient units. This temporary, peak-season role supports night shifts and requires commitment through the contract duration.

The position emphasizes adapting nursing care, telemetry monitoring, and continuity of care while coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient and family needs.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience required.
• Intermediate or Intensive Care experience preferred.
• Active RN license in NC or a Compact License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician; identifies expected patient outcomes with the care team.
• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with policies and procedures.
• Organizes and prioritizes care; consults with resources for complex issues and high-risk discharge planning.
• Collaborates with peers in a clinical operations environment and fosters cross-department communication.
• Synthesizes data to determine priorities for care and assesses discharge needs.
