Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is hiring a Registered Nurse for a 16-week seasonal contract on the Float Team at the Venice Campus. You will deliver professional nursing care during the daytime shift, guided by our nursing practice model and ANA standards to ensure quality patient outcomes.

The role requires a BSN within the specified timeframe, two years of nursing experience, and current BLS/CPR with FL RN license; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification are required or soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program; BSN required within timeframe per policy.
• Two years of relevant nursing experience.
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days.
• ACLS within six months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer applications proficiency.
• BLS/CPR certification and FL RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and families on the Float Team in an acute clinical setting.
• Follow the nursing practice model and ANA Standards of Professional Practice.

16 -Week Seaasonal RN Contract Opportunity for Day Shift - Float Team.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float Team, you provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• Require two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Require successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of employment.
• Require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire.
• Require National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License

Preferred License and Certs
