Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for the Transplant and Cellular Therapy (TCT) unit.

You will care for blood and marrow transplant patients, including autologous and allogeneic transplants, with chemotherapy/biotherapy administration under physician supervision. The 24-bed inpatient unit emphasizes exceptional care and cutting-edge treatments near home, with a multidisciplinary team and ongoing education for new hires.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or valid compact license.
• BLS certification; ACLS within first year of hire.
• OCN or BMTCN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chemotherapy/biotherapy administration and management.
• Transfusion of blood products.
• Care for patients with central venous access devices.
• Administer autologous and allogeneic transplants and cellular therapies at the bedside under physician supervision.
• Manage toxicities related to oncological treatments.
• Handle investigational protocol administration and monitoring.
• Drain and post-op management; telemetry monitoring.
• Collaborate actively within the interdisciplinary team.
