Job summary

The Paper Store in Attleboro, MA is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to deliver world class service, meet sales goals, and maintain merchandising standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers using the G.U.E.S.T. service approach, explaining product features, processing transactions at the POS, stocking shelves, and upholding store cleanliness; occasional ear piercing at select locations; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in specialty retail is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
• Possess an ability to work well in a team environment.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and POS Systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Professional conduct and attire in compliance with company dress code.
• Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 50 lbs., with proper safety techniques.

Responsibilities

• Act as a TPS Champion by modelling the G.U.E.S.T. service approach, delivering World Class Service.
• Greet and welcome every customer warmly and with enthusiasm.
• Understand customer needs by asking open-ended questions.
• Explain product features and benefits in relation to customers’ needs with in-depth product knowledge.
• Suggest additional items to build onto sales using effective selling techniques.
• Thank the customer and invite them to return and shop with us again.
• Be a TPS brand ambassador and build customer loyalty with friendly, attentive service.
• Maintain professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and compliance with dress code.
• Support all sales efforts across channels to maximize company sales.
• Capture accurate and valid customer information at the POS.
• Process promotions correctly at the Point of Sale and participate in training.
