Job summary

Follett in Hampton, VA is seeking Seasonal Retail Sales Associates to join our campus bookstore team. This limited-time, high-energy role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring the store operates smoothly.

Assignments last from a few days up to 90 days with flexible scheduling, including weekends and varied shifts. You will process transactions, stock and price merchandise, fulfill online orders, and assist with events.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to lift 25-50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable with basic computers and math.
• Able to prioritize tasks and stay organized.
• Retail, customer service, or clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process transactions.
• Stock, organize, and price merchandise; assist with in-store displays.
• Fulfill online orders for pickup or shipping.
• Support bookstore operations during events (graduation, athletic events, etc.).
• Create a welcoming, helpful experience for all customers and team members.
• Jump in on other tasks as needed.

About The Role:
