Job summary

Michaels in Hanford, CA is seeking a customer-focused team member to assist shoppers, maintain a well-merchandised and in-stock store, and deliver a fast, friendly checkout experience. You will help customers locate products, enroll them in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, participate in truck unloads, stocking, and planograms, and support omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.

This role emphasizes compliance with SOPs, safety, and a positive workplace, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store
• Comfort with cash handling and checkout procedures

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain merchandise recovery and in-stock store; complete return/go back handling
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; interact respectfully with customers and team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
