Job summary

Michaels store in Rochester, NY is seeking an enthusiastic team member to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and support store operations. You will handle checkouts, enroll customers in the Rewards program, and participate in omni-channel tasks such as BOPIS and SFS.

The role involves stocking, merchandising, and driving store recovery while following SOPs and safety guidelines. A background in retail or customer service is preferred, with cross-training in Custom Framing a plus.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Physical requirements include standing long periods and lifting heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process and general store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company policies; promote a positive image and be a role model
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
