Job summary

TJ Maxx in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a store associate to deliver a high-quality customer experience while keeping a clean, organized sales floor. You will ring up purchases, assist merchandising, and help across departments as needed.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to multi-task, and a flexible schedule; prior retail experience is a plus with growth opportunities in a Fortune 100 off-price retailer.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store.
