Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences, answer product questions, and recommend items that fit customer needs. You will help maintain visual standards and assist with merchandise replenishment across the sales floor.

You will engage customers, operate the POS system for transactions, and support store profitability through accurate stock handling.

Qualifications

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 or fewer years of experience in a related role.
• Experience operating inventory and POS systems; familiarity with retail software tools.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about products, features, and availability.
• Engage with customers to understand needs and recommend suitable options.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety.
• Retrieve merchandise from sales floor or stockroom as needed.
• Handle cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, loyalty program) accurately.
• Support store profitability by efficiently processing product flow and stock.
