Job summary

Polar Field Services, Inc. is hiring a full-time seasonal Field Research Camp Manager to organize and direct the daily operations of Raven Camp, a remote research camp on the Greenland ice sheet.

This leadership role offers an adventure of a lifetime and a chance to contribute to important scientific missions. The position pays $2,085–$2,450 per week and includes a health/welfare benefit of $4.22/hour for the first 40 hours weekly, plus enrollment in our Pro Deal Discount program.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience OR a bachelor's degree with combined equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Remote field experience.
• Wilderness First Responder Certification.
• Ability to work and supervise in remote and isolated environments.
• Ability to maintain flexibility and a positive attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and management of Raven Camp facilities and staff.
• Coordinate camp flight support, snow grooming, and put-in/pull-out missions.
• Provide orientation to new camp arrivals and ensure safety of all personnel.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with Air National Guard 109th and support teams.
• Assist with camp support tasks including cooking, equipment operation, and winterization.
