Job summary

NMS is hiring a Remote Housekeeper for our North Slope Alaska camps on a 4x2 rotational schedule, starting from Anchorage. The role covers cleaning a range of facilities in a remote camp environment, with duties including floors, surfaces, waste handling, and light maintenance.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in commercial cleaning. English proficiency and ability to live in dormitory housing are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year experience with commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes.
• At least 1 year experience in commercial housekeeping.
• Pre-employment testing (drug, physical, fit for duty, hearing) and travel to testing facility may be required.
• Ability to cooperate and work in a team with colleagues, customers and clients.
• Ability to make in-the-moment decisions with minimal supervision.
• Must be on your feet for 12 hours per shift during scheduled rotation.
• Ability to live in dormitory-style housing and meet cleanliness standards.
• English reading/writing/speaking required by contract.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, vacuum, mop, or restock various areas.
• Clean floors using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Dust and wipe surfaces, and maintain cleanliness.
• Operate cleaning solutions and equipment safely.
• Remove and dispose of waste materials properly.
• Move and transport trash to disposal areas.
• Light maintenance and bulb replacement as needed.
• Notify supervisor of safety or sanitation issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Occasionally work night or day shifts as needed.
