Job summary

Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts on a per diem basis. The RN will provide high-quality, safe nursing care and coordinate the patient experience according to established safety standards.

Eligible candidates should hold Florida RN licensure; BSN is preferred. Requirements include AHA BLS certification; ACLS and Basic EKG interpretation are required for telemetry/high-acuity units.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the State of Florida.
• BSN (preferred).
• ACLS (for telemetry and higher acuity units) and Basic EKG interpretation are often required.

Responsibilities

• Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attends and participates in meetings and communicates information accurately.
• Adheres to policy and procedure at all times.
• Assists patients, families, physicians, visitors and staff professionally.
• Follows Infection Control procedures at all times.
• Demonstrates ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.

Job Type: Per Diem

The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing are to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination of the patient’s experience and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs high quality and patient focused care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.

Responsibilities

• Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information communicated at meetings.
• Adheres to Corporate, Regional, hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.
• Assists all patient s, family members, physicians, visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follows Infection Control procedures at all times.
• Adheres to the following environmental care standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Preferred: BSN

EXPERIENCE:

• None

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:

• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• For Telemetry and higher acuity units: ACLS (AHA) and Basic EKG interpretation are also required.
