An established industry player is seeking a Lead Camp Counselor who will play a crucial role in overseeing daily camp operations. Summary:
The Lead Camp Counselor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the camp,
ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging experience for all campers. This position requires
strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a passion for recreation and youth
development. The Lead Counselor will help with camp rosters, camper check-ins, conflict
resolution, inventory management, and will collaborate with the camp team to support the
smooth operation of camp activities. Additionally, the Lead Counselor will assist in managing
camp cancellations and rescheduling, ensuring that all aspects of camp run efficiently and in
alignment with the mission to enrich lives through recreation and culture.
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and
one (1) year of college-level work, or completion of a clerical support educational program.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence,
and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information
in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization. English/Spanish bilingual oral communication skill preferred.
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but
uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete
variables in standardized situations.
