City of Madeira Beach is seeking a Recreation Leader I for seasonal work at the City Hall in Madeira Beach, FL. Responsibilities include supervising participants, registering attendees, and maintaining a safe, fun recreation space.

Qualifications include a Florida driver’s license, High School diploma or GED, and CPR/first aid readiness. Flexible hours, weekend availability, and safe environment focus are required.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Florida driver's license.
• Graduation from High School or GED equivalent; coursework in recreation or teaching preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform job duties listed, either through related experience or coursework.
• Previous experience with recreation or childcare.

Responsibilities

• Attending work as scheduled.
• Registering participants for programs, maintaining all necessary information on each participant.
• Monitoring groups of participants in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Maintaining a safe recreational environment.
• Teaching skills of various games and sports (e.g., dodge ball, hockey, tennis, baseball, football, soccer).
• Providing information in person and by phone regarding Recreation Department programs.
• Representing the City to program participants, families, and residents.
• Cleaning up activity area and returning supplies/equipment to proper place.
• Maintaining a clean recreation area both inside and on grounds.
