Job summary

Great Performances in the Bronx is seeking a Receiver for seasonal, on-site work. You’ll ensure incoming deliveries are inspected, documented, and stored while maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality, and food safety standards.

You’ll collaborate with Purchasing, Culinary, and Operations to support day-to-day commissary and catering operations. The role requires at least 1 year in receiving or warehouse operations, comfort with lifting up to 50 pounds, and ability to work in cold-storage

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in receiving, stock, or warehouse operations; food service receiving experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Department of Health regulations and proper storage and handling of perishable and non-perishable food products.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory, receiving, and quality control.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, vendors, and internal team members.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working in cold-storage environments, including coolers and freezers, for extended periods.
