Job summary

The City of Pinole is seeking two part-time seasonal Maintenance Worker Assistants to support road repair operations, including crack sealing. The positions are up to 30 hours per week and run through February or March 2027.

Ideal candidates have hands-on public works or construction experience and are willing to work outdoors. Training will be provided and supervision is in place for entry-level tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Basic safety awareness and comfort with outdoor/public works environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in street, parks, and facility maintenance tasks.
• Support crack sealing and asphalt-related work as needed.
• Operate basic hand tools and light equipment under supervision.
